Balea

Best of 2016

Catrice Prime and Fine Pore Refining Anti-Shine Base
Cheap primer, that gets the job done. It has no smell and it's silicone free. It also increases longevity of my makeup and I noticed that once when I didn't have it with me. Before I thought it was rubbish. But it's not and now I'm already on second tube.

Zoeva brushes
These brushes are amazing. They aren't exactly cheap, but they aren't expensive either. Mine have been through several cleaning, yet they look and perform the same as when I got them.

L'oreal Infallible
200 Golden Sand
The best foundation I've tried from drugstore so far. The shade selection is not the best, but slightly better than Infallible 24h - Matte. This is actually too dark for me, so I'm always mixing it with some lighter foundation to get my perfect match. The longevity of it is great (approximatley 8 hours). I have some changes in my skin during the different times of the year. In the winter it tends to get dry and in the summer I have oily T-zone. It works for me in all seasons. It has good medium, buildable coverage.

Balea Reinigungs Öl
Great oil for removing makeup that's cheap. Balea did a bad move when they decided to discountinue makin this product, since it was so hyped up. Bad move, Balea.

I Love...
Cherry Almond Sparkle
I must confess that I'm a shower gel horder. This shower gel is to my nose pure perfection. When I start to rub it in my skin I smell pure cherry and after a few seconds comes that gentle almond scent.

Catrice Liquid Camouflage
005 Light Natural, 020 Light Beige
A budget friendly concealer that has medium, yet buildable coverage. It doesn't cover tattooes as it claims, but it is indeed waterproof. It turns slightly darker on my face as it is in the tube.

Real Techniques Miracle Coplexion Sponge
This is my second sponge, first one was ripped apart by my lovely dog. Game changer in my makeup routine, I use it for foundation, concealer and even for setting my face. If you're looking for affordable beauty sponge, I hardly recommend this one.

Milani Amore Matte Lip Creme
32 Emotion, 14 Devotion
They deserved their place in my Best of 2016 because of the great longevity. If you eat a greasy meal, it will melt down, otherwise it last a long time (on me for around 10 hours). I have to use something moisturizing underneath to make it work and it starts to feel a bit drying after 5 hours on my lips.

61 Classic Nude
Another one that's here because of the longevity. It's cheap and performs great, what else you could wish? Oh right, better packaging. The packaging is really bad quality, so I'm super careful with it when I'm taking the lipstick with me.

Nyx Slide On, Glide On, Stay On & Definetly a Turn On Waterproof, Extreme Shine Eye Liner
Golden Bronze
And the award for the longest name goes to this product. I hate the long name it has and can't help my judgy self. On the other side I adore its longevity on my waterline and the color is beyond amazing. Perfect eyeliner pencil for bronze lovers.

02 Browny Brows
I can't do my makeup without this gel. I'm obssesed how good my eyebrows look with it, it gives them some thickness and they stay in place all day.

 Dita Von Teese
Erotique
Another product that's discountinued from our drugstores. Now I'm using it sparingly, just for special occasions. At first it smells spicy and then it turns to a lovely rose scent with leathery feel to it.

L'oreal Color Riche Le Vernis a L'Huile
672 Gris Decadent, 556 Grenat Irreverent
Only nail polishes I've found so far that last on my nails whole 4 days. So imagine how happy I was, when I discovered them. Mine apply evenly, without any visible streaks and it's opacity is on point. Definitely my favorite drugstore nail polishes. The bottle itself is stunning, something unique, something different from those standard drugstore nail polish bottles.

Batiste
XXL Volume
My favorite one out of Batiste dry shampoos. It gives me that volume that I miss in scented version and god knows I need it. I have a feeling that it does it's job better with removing greasiness than scented version.

Primark candles
I burn scented candles like crazy. So basically I'm a candle junkie. These are cheap, yet they smell nice. Smell is not intense by any means, but for 1€ price tag they smell just enough. They have nice minimalistic jar packaging (I re-use most of the jars).

Klaas
I know he doesn't fall into beauty category, but I'm a big animal lover, so I have to mention it. For ages I have only cats, yes crazy cat lady and in September 2016 me and my boyfriend got a pitbull puppy. Named him Klaas, because my bestfriend has a dog named Joko. If you ever watched Circus Halligalli, you know where the names are from. If you think he's dangerous beacause of his breed, you're wrong. He adores people and likes to cuddle a lot.

Afrodita

Empties #1

00:33:00

I've been collecting some empty products for a while and now it's time for my first empties post.

I LOVE... RASPBERRY & BLACKBERRY BATH & SHOWER CREME
The scent of this shower creme wasn't anything i'd be really excited about, I didn't like it that much. And when I started using it, I've noticed it has more of a raspberry than blackberry scent. And the thing is, I don't really like raspberry scent in none of the cosmetics products. So I don't know why I even bought this in the first place. Well maybe it was because of my slight obsession with the ''I love...'' products.
Repurchase: Definetly not in this scent.

LEE STAFFORD HAIR GROWTH CONDITIONER
I don't know what to think about this one, since I didn't use it on a regular basis and my boyfriend used the most of it. So I should really ask him, huh? But he'd just probably say something like ''It's okay'' or something like that.
Repurchase? Already did.

AUSSIE MIRACLE DRY SHAMPOO
I have a love-hate relationship with this one. I like the volume it gives to my hair, but I have to apply it one night before my hair become greasy, otherwise it has no effect as a dry shampoo. And what I absolutely hate about it, is the strong scent.
Repurchase? Alredy did, since I ran out of Batiste one and I was desperate.

AFRODITA ORANGE CREAM
I like this shower gel, it has a nice orangy scent and a pleasant soft creamy consistency.
Repurchase? In another scent for sure.

TREACLEMOON ICED STRAWBERRY DREAM KÖRPERPEELING
I like everything about this body peeling, the scent is absolutely amazing and the beeds have just the right amount of harshness in my opinion. Just for comparison, this one is harsher than strawberry Body Scrub from Afrodita.
Repurchase? Yes.

L'OREAL SOLUTION MICELLAIRE
Although it's not my favorite one it's a very good product, I was able to remove my make up very quickly and without much effort. But I don't think I'll be buying it very often, simply because it's a bit pricy. It costs almost the same as Garnier micellar water, but you get half less of the product.
Repurchase? Already have.

BATISTE DRY SHAMPOO in Cherry scent
This one is the one I love. It smells good, the white cast is minimal and it works great, it does what it's suppose to do. It only doesn't give much volume to my hair, which is a big deal for me sometimes, but it's still an amazing product.
Repurchase? Yes.

JEAN PAUL GRAND TROPICAL COCONUT
If you're crazy for coconut like me, you'll love it. I was saving this parfume like crazy, I didn't want to ran out of it. It has pure sweet coconut scent which will last for a few hours. Now I don't know if it is available anymore, but if it is I'm definitely repurchasing it!
Repurchase? YES!

ESSENCE PLUMP NO CLUMP! MASCARA
This one isn't quite empty, it just went bad. I remember that this mascara had such a wet formula and when I gave it a try, it just wasn't working for me. The lashes were sticking all together and by the time I was done putting my mascara on I had spider lashes. No kidding. I gave it a try for about two weeks and then I realised, the formula isn't changing, not even a bit, it was the same wet consistency as in the beginning. I'm glad this one isn't available anymore. Probably the worst mascara I have ever tried.
Repurchase? Hell no, even if I could, I wouldn't repurchase it.

L'OREAL VOLUME MILLION LASHES EXCESS MASCARA
This one is my old favourite. It gives some volume and lenght to my lashes and it holds the curl as well, even on the bad side of my lashes. On one eye I have lashes to die for and pretty much any mascara is good, but ony my outer right eye my lashes are stubborn and it's hard to give them some lenght any most mascaras won't hold the curl on my right eye. So this mascara deals with my stubborn lashes amazing too.
Repurchase? Already did.

LEE STAFFORD TREATMENT FOR HAIR THAT NEVER GROWS PAST CERTAIN LENGHT
The name of this product isn't long at all. Well I don't think I can live without this product anymore, it has been in my hair routine for a long time now. Since I've been using it my hair is less damaged and healthier. The sad part is, you can't get this product in Slovenia anymore.
Repurchase? Already did.

LEE STAFFORD ARGAN OIL FROM MOROCCO NOURISHING SHAMPOO
This shampoo is in my hair routine for a long time as well, for about 4 years now. It's nourishing my hair and scalp very well and I'm not plannig on changing my shampoo any time soon, since I've had bad experiences with shampoos in the past.
Repurchase? Yes.

Did you try any of these products?

Anny

New in #1

12:02:00

Hello. Today I'm gonna write about some new stuff that I bought in December. I know it's kind of late, but I've been like, really busy in that month.

I LOVE... CHERRY ALMOND SPARKLE and STRAWBERRIES & CREAM
When I was in Munich I had to stop in Douglas and damn, I have never seen such a big Douglas store before. I didn't know where to look first, there was so much beautiful stuff. Of course I had to pick something from I love..., I've been totally obsessed with this brand for a while now. I chose 2 shower gels; Cherry Almond Sparkle and Strawberries & Cream scent and they smell so yummy and beautiful, that I feel like I'm in heaven. I got them for 5,99 € each in Douglas. In Slovenia you can get I love... products in Tuš Drogerija stores, but there's not much to choose from. You can get a few products online from click2chic.

ZOEVA 109 LUXE FACE PAINT & 221 LUXE SOFT CREASE BRUSH
After reading so many positive reviews on Zoeva brushes, I've decided to grab two brushes to try them out. I bought 109 contour brush for 12,99 € and 221 crease brush for 7,99 € at the Douglas store. I fell in love with these two brushes the first second I've tried them out. They are one of the best brushes indeed. Bristles are extremely soft, they pick up the product very well. Amazing quality for such a low price, I recommend them to everyone who is looking for good brushes for a decent price.

BATISTE DRY SHAMPOO
I really like the scent, it's a gentle cherry scent, but you can still smell it. With the dry shampoo from Aussie it's a totally different story. I almost choke every single time I used it, it has such a strong scent. It smells nice, but too strong for my taste. It left white residue on my hair, so if you have dark hair, you have to be careful so that you don't put too much product on your hair. It gives a bit more volume to my hair and they weren't greasy anymore. Overall I'm very satisfied with it, but I wish I bought a few more of them, cause they were only 3.99€ each in Douglas.

ANNY - 469 PROJECT FAME & 151 THE NEW COPPER
On the left is Project fame and on the right is The new copper.
Anny brand has so many amazing shades to choose from, so you must know how hard it has been to choose only two nail polishes. I've set myself a limit for only two nail polishes since the price is kinda hefty. I have bought The new copper and Project fame and already tried out nail polish The new cooper. It's such a beautiful color, perfect for autumn. And I like everything about this nail polish. The bottle itself is nice and kinda special. It has a nice thin brush, but not too thin. I don't like the big wide brushes, like the Essence nail polishes has. But that's just my personal preference. And the staying power sounds promising, since it lasted longer on my naild than any other nail polish that I own. It was only one day longer, but that's a lot for me, since they all tend to chip after one good day because of my weak nails. For Project fame I doubt that it will stay on my nails as long, since it is a satin finish. I got them at Douglas for 9.99€.

LEE STAFFORD HAIR GROWTH TREATMENT
This is actually a repurchase since I want to grow back my hair longer. I used this hair mask 2 or 3 years ago, when I had long hair. This product halped my hair so much, they didn't break, they were smooth and looked way better after using this. For me it did exactly what it's supposed to do, my hair grew faster and I wasn't stuck at one specific lenght of my hair. This product is holy grail to me, I would be very disappointed if they discontinue Lee Staffords line in the DM store, since they stopped selling his products in the Müller store last year and I think Tuš drogerija is discontinuing it too, 'cause I got this mask for around 7 € and that's like half the prize.

NIVEA MEN AFTER SHAVE BALM SENSITIVE

There was a certain hype about this product a while ago in the beauty world. So when I saw it in the drugstore, I thought what if I tried it? I have nothing to lose, if it doesn't work as a primer then I'll use it as an after shave balm. I've tried it out and now I just can't live without it. It just works amazingly as a primer. I won't go into details at this point, because this product deserves a proper review. So if you're looking for a good primer that happens to be cheap, try it out, especially if you have dry or normal skin.
You can get it in the drugstore, I've seen it in Tuš drogerija and Müller. For the DM store I'm not sure, since I haven't noticed it there, but they might be selling it. It costs around 7 €.

ESSENCE ALL ABOUT BRONZE

First row from left to right.

Second row from left to right.
I bought this palette to try it out for myself, since some say that Essence palettes are very good for it's price and then other say they're bad. Palette consists of 8 shimmery colors. They feel soft and when I swatched them the colors were pigmented quite good, except for two lightest colors. You can get it in every drugstore for around 4 €.

ARTDECO HIGH PERFORMANCE EYESHADOW STYLO 28
This is the product that blew my mind and I'm definitely planning on buying it in other shades as well. It's a goldish shimmery shade, that's perfect for inner corners of the eyes. Texture is creamy and in a few seconds it becomes non-smudgy, so you have to work very fast with it. It's also waterproof. It's more on the pricy side, since it costs around 10€, but I think it's totally worth the money. You can get it in Müller.

ARTDECO EYESHADOW IN SHADE 297
Since the eyeshadows from Artdeco are hit or a total miss, I didn't know what to expect from this one, since I got it as a gift from a friend. I have to say that I'm not a fan of any kind of pink color, but I really like this one. Since it reflects at certain angle more goldish than pink. I didn't tried it on my eyes yet, but I like how it swatches, it feels soft and the pigmentation is good. You can get it in Müller, they cost around 5.

CATRICE VELVET MATT EYESHADOW 040 AL BURGUNDY

This eyeshadow is a hit and miss for me. When I swatched it in the store it had intense pigmentation and the color was stunning. But when I tried it on my crease this beautiful burgundy turned into brown when I blended it out. So this is a big con for me, since I bought the eyeshadow because of the color. On the touch they feel soft and what surprised me was the staying power. It lasted on my eyelids a whole work day with a primer. This range is actually getting discontinued at the drugstores however.
