Review: ESSENCE Make Me Brow 02 Browny Brows

02:36:00

A while ago I started buying more products from Essence, cause it seems like everyone likes something from this brand. I was avoiding their products since one of their eyeliners gave me an alergic reaction in high school. I was trying to be on a budget and the only thing I got were swollen and red eyelids for days. I was like, NO, not me. :D I had Make Me Brow on my wishlist for 3 months or so and everytime I went into the drugstore I was checking it out and it stayed like that for quite a time. But recently I bought it and now I think why didn't I get it sooner.

The applicator is really small, which I find great, so you can apply it on your brows effortlessly. I find that there is just enough product on the applicator.

The formula is outstanding for that price. It's a tinted gel that has a nice amount of fibers in it. This mascara thickens my brows perfectly. I personally just need a mascara to make them "perfect", since I already have pretty thick brows. Layering up the product is really easy, it doesn't become patchy, spidery or gross looking. However I did notice, that my brows feel a little bit stiff.

The packaging is a classic mascara kind of a tube, but smaller.

Overall I think that Make Me Brow is one of the hidden jems in the drugstore. Unfortunately, it comes only in two shades (Blondy Brows and Browny Brows), so if the shade fits you go and grab one, because it's totally worth it. I think it costs around 3€, so for that price you can't go wrong. Some beauty bloggers compare it with Gimme Brow from Benefit, but I woudn't know if they're dupes since I don't own Benefit one.

Did you tried it yet? What do you think?

Afrodita

Empties #1

00:33:00

I've been collecting some empty products for a while and now it's time for my first empties post.

I LOVE... RASPBERRY & BLACKBERRY BATH & SHOWER CREME
The scent of this shower creme wasn't anything i'd be really excited about, I didn't like it that much. And when I started using it, I've noticed it has more of a raspberry than blackberry scent. And the thing is, I don't really like raspberry scent in none of the cosmetics products. So I don't know why I even bought this in the first place. Well maybe it was because of my slight obsession with the ''I love...'' products.
Repurchase: Definetly not in this scent.

LEE STAFFORD HAIR GROWTH CONDITIONER
I don't know what to think about this one, since I didn't use it on a regular basis and my boyfriend used the most of it. So I should really ask him, huh? But he'd just probably say something like ''It's okay'' or something like that.
Repurchase? Already did.

AUSSIE MIRACLE DRY SHAMPOO
I have a love-hate relationship with this one. I like the volume it gives to my hair, but I have to apply it one night before my hair become greasy, otherwise it has no effect as a dry shampoo. And what I absolutely hate about it, is the strong scent.
Repurchase? Alredy did, since I ran out of Batiste one and I was desperate.

AFRODITA ORANGE CREAM
I like this shower gel, it has a nice orangy scent and a pleasant soft creamy consistency.
Repurchase? In another scent for sure.

TREACLEMOON ICED STRAWBERRY DREAM KÖRPERPEELING
I like everything about this body peeling, the scent is absolutely amazing and the beeds have just the right amount of harshness in my opinion. Just for comparison, this one is harsher than strawberry Body Scrub from Afrodita.
Repurchase? Yes.

L'OREAL SOLUTION MICELLAIRE
Although it's not my favorite one it's a very good product, I was able to remove my make up very quickly and without much effort. But I don't think I'll be buying it very often, simply because it's a bit pricy. It costs almost the same as Garnier micellar water, but you get half less of the product.
Repurchase? Already have.

BATISTE DRY SHAMPOO in Cherry scent
This one is the one I love. It smells good, the white cast is minimal and it works great, it does what it's suppose to do. It only doesn't give much volume to my hair, which is a big deal for me sometimes, but it's still an amazing product.
Repurchase? Yes.

JEAN PAUL GRAND TROPICAL COCONUT
If you're crazy for coconut like me, you'll love it. I was saving this parfume like crazy, I didn't want to ran out of it. It has pure sweet coconut scent which will last for a few hours. Now I don't know if it is available anymore, but if it is I'm definitely repurchasing it!
Repurchase? YES!

ESSENCE PLUMP NO CLUMP! MASCARA
This one isn't quite empty, it just went bad. I remember that this mascara had such a wet formula and when I gave it a try, it just wasn't working for me. The lashes were sticking all together and by the time I was done putting my mascara on I had spider lashes. No kidding. I gave it a try for about two weeks and then I realised, the formula isn't changing, not even a bit, it was the same wet consistency as in the beginning. I'm glad this one isn't available anymore. Probably the worst mascara I have ever tried.
Repurchase? Hell no, even if I could, I wouldn't repurchase it.

L'OREAL VOLUME MILLION LASHES EXCESS MASCARA
This one is my old favourite. It gives some volume and lenght to my lashes and it holds the curl as well, even on the bad side of my lashes. On one eye I have lashes to die for and pretty much any mascara is good, but ony my outer right eye my lashes are stubborn and it's hard to give them some lenght any most mascaras won't hold the curl on my right eye. So this mascara deals with my stubborn lashes amazing too.
Repurchase? Already did.

LEE STAFFORD TREATMENT FOR HAIR THAT NEVER GROWS PAST CERTAIN LENGHT
The name of this product isn't long at all. Well I don't think I can live without this product anymore, it has been in my hair routine for a long time now. Since I've been using it my hair is less damaged and healthier. The sad part is, you can't get this product in Slovenia anymore.
Repurchase? Already did.

LEE STAFFORD ARGAN OIL FROM MOROCCO NOURISHING SHAMPOO
This shampoo is in my hair routine for a long time as well, for about 4 years now. It's nourishing my hair and scalp very well and I'm not plannig on changing my shampoo any time soon, since I've had bad experiences with shampoos in the past.
Repurchase? Yes.

Catrice

Review: Catrice Cream Camouflage Concealer in 020 Light Beige

12:52:00

After I had Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer for a while, I decided to finally try out the cream version as well. I had very high expectations for this concealer and guess what? It didn't let me down.

Texture: It has a thick consistency and still creamy enough to blend it out very easily. This concealer is towarding on the full coverage, which is amazing for that price tag and I don't think anything can beat that. I don't think you can cover tattoos with it, but for sure you can cover some redness and scaring with it. Once it sets, it stays shiny and a bit sticky.

Colour: Light Beige has a warm yellow undertone and it's suitable for light/medium skin tone. In comparison with the liquid version this one is a bit darker on my face, but while I swatch it the cream version looks lighter than liquid one. Weird thing, huh?

Packaging: It comes in a classic black pot with a clear lid. It contains 3g of product, which is a good amount, since you don't need a lot of the product to cover up something.

Scent: The concealear has a light chemical scent, which you probably wont even notice. Over time while it's on your face, it disappears.

Price and avilability: You can get it in drugstores (DM; Müller,...) for around 4€.

Did you tried it out yet?

Jordana

Review: Jordana Matte Lipstick in 61 Classic Nude

08:14:00

I've heard a lot about Jordana, so I decided to finally try something from this brand.. I chose matte lipstick in Classic Nude for starters, since I'm obsessed with lipsticks lately.

Texture: These are definitely more thicker, but still enough creamy for a smooth and even application. In comparison with Artdecos Perfect Mat lipsticks these are less creamy and more thicker. The colour is fully opaque, so one swipe on the lips is enough to coat them. It has classic matte finish that lipsticks in regular form have. I can't say how much they will dry out your lips, since my lips are fine and none of matte lipstick dry my lips.

Colour: I suck at discribing shades, so have patience or just simply skip this and see it for yourself in the picture down below. Classic Nude is a rosy brown shade, which makes it perfect for everyday wear. The first time I wore it, the shade reminded me on Artdecos Perfect Mat Lipstick in 184 Rosewood. And I was right, they look pretty much identical on my lips, but when they're swatched Jordana Classic Nude looks brighter and slightly pinkier than Artecos Rosewood.

On left Jordana Classic Nude and on the right Artdeco Rosewood.

Staying Power: It stayed on my lips around 4-5 hours, in between I was drinking a lot of water. However they won't survive a greasy meal. I find that longevity is impressive for that price.

Packaging: Oh my god, this is probably the cheapest packaging I've came across so far. Every time I use it, I'm afraid that I'm going to break it. You can't alwys get what you want, so I'd rather have amazing quality lipstick and cheap packaging, than vice versa.

Price and Avilability: I got mine from Click2chic for 2.60€. You can also get it on official Jordana Cosmetics EU site for 1.96€.

Overall I am very pleased with the lipsticks formula and longevity, so it's easy for me to overlook the cheap packaging. I recommend them to everyone who want to have a good and cheap matte lipstick.

Artdeco

ARTDECO High Performance Eyeshadow Stylo 28

13:26:00

Hello! I own a few products from Artdeco and I was very pleased with them, except with the black matte eyeshadow. I think that Artdeco products don't get enough praise. This High performance eyeshadow stylo literally blew my mind away and I'm already planning on buying other shades.

The formula is creamy and you get very good pigmentation in just one swipe. If you want to blend it out, you have to be really fast because it dries in a couple of seconds. But when you blend it out, some pigmentation gets lost, so you have to layer it up a bit.
It claims that this eyeshadow is waterproof. Well while I had a swatch on my hand, I washed my hands couple of times before I removed it with micellar water and the results I got were pretty great. This eyeshadow doesn't move once it sets on my eye lids, although I have to prime my eyelids before, because I have hooded eyes and they tend to get oily throughout the day. I did test it without priming my eyelids and it creased after a few hours but not too much.

The packaging is a classic black with silver writting on it. It surely doesn't look cheap to me. Eyeshadow comes with a hidden sharpener, which I find great. The lid stay put on really well, actually I have to pull it pretty well to take it off.
At the first sight it doesn't seem much, but when the light hits it the gold glitters become stunning. I like to use it to brighten up my inner corners of the eye, since it doesn't smudge all day.

Artdeco high performance eyeshadow stylo used on the inner corner, the other shades on my eyes are from Freedom Pro 12 Le Fabuleux.

You can get it in the Müller drugstore for around 10€, it's a bit on the pricey side but totally worth the money.
