Jordana

Review: Jordana Matte Lipstick in 61 Classic Nude

08:14:00

I've heard a lot about Jordana, so I decided to finally try something from this brand.. I chose matte lipstick in Classic Nude for starters, since I'm obsessed with lipsticks lately.

Texture: These are definitely more thicker, but still enough creamy for a smooth and even application. In comparison with Artdecos Perfect Mat lipsticks these are less creamy and more thicker. The colour is fully opaque, so one swipe on the lips is enough to coat them. It has classic matte finish that lipsticks in regular form have. I can't say how much they will dry out your lips, since my lips are fine and none of matte lipstick dry my lips.

Colour: I suck at discribing shades, so have patience or just simply skip this and see it for yourself in the picture down below. Classic Nude is a rosy brown shade, which makes it perfect for everyday wear. The first time I wore it, the shade reminded me on Artdecos Perfect Mat Lipstick in 184 Rosewood. And I was right, they look pretty much identical on my lips, but when they're swatched Jordana Classic Nude looks brighter and slightly pinkier than Artecos Rosewood.

On left Jordana Classic Nude and on the right Artdeco Rosewood.

Staying Power: It stayed on my lips around 4-5 hours, in between I was drinking a lot of water. However they won't survive a greasy meal. I find that longevity is impressive for that price.

Packaging: Oh my god, this is probably the cheapest packaging I've came across so far. Every time I use it, I'm afraid that I'm going to break it. You can't alwys get what you want, so I'd rather have amazing quality lipstick and cheap packaging, than vice versa.

Price and Avilability: I got mine from Click2chic for 2.60€. You can also get it on official Jordana Cosmetics EU site for 1.96€.

Overall I am very pleased with the lipsticks formula and longevity, so it's easy for me to overlook the cheap packaging. I recommend them to everyone who want to have a good and cheap matte lipstick.

ARTDECO High Performance Eyeshadow Stylo 28

13:26:00

Hello! I own a few products from Artdeco and I was very pleased with them, except with the black matte eyeshadow. I think that Artdeco products don't get enough praise. This High performance eyeshadow stylo literally blew my mind away and I'm already planning on buying other shades.

The formula is creamy and you get very good pigmentation in just one swipe. If you want to blend it out, you have to be really fast because it dries in a couple of seconds. But when you blend it out, some pigmentation gets lost, so you have to layer it up a bit.
It claims that this eyeshadow is waterproof. Well while I had a swatch on my hand, I washed my hands couple of times before I removed it with micellar water and the results I got were pretty great. This eyeshadow doesn't move once it sets on my eye lids, although I have to prime my eyelids before, because I have hooded eyes and they tend to get oily throughout the day. I did test it without priming my eyelids and it creased after a few hours but not too much.

The packaging is a classic black with silver writting on it. It surely doesn't look cheap to me. Eyeshadow comes with a hidden sharpener, which I find great. The lid stay put on really well, actually I have to pull it pretty well to take it off.
At the first sight it doesn't seem much, but when the light hits it the gold glitters become stunning. I like to use it to brighten up my inner corners of the eye, since it doesn't smudge all day.

Artdeco high performance eyeshadow stylo used on the inner corner, the other shades on my eyes are from Freedom Pro 12 Le Fabuleux.

You can get it in the Müller drugstore for around 10€, it's a bit on the pricey side but totally worth the money.

Anny

New in #1

12:02:00

Hello. Today I'm gonna write about some new stuff that I bought in December. I know it's kind of late, but I've been like, really busy in that month.

I LOVE... CHERRY ALMOND SPARKLE and STRAWBERRIES & CREAM
When I was in Munich I had to stop in Douglas and damn, I have never seen such a big Douglas store before. I didn't know where to look first, there was so much beautiful stuff. Of course I had to pick something from I love..., I've been totally obsessed with this brand for a while now. I chose 2 shower gels; Cherry Almond Sparkle and Strawberries & Cream scent and they smell so yummy and beautiful, that I feel like I'm in heaven. I got them for 5,99 € each in Douglas. In Slovenia you can get I love... products in Tuš Drogerija stores, but there's not much to choose from. You can get a few products online from click2chic.

ZOEVA 109 LUXE FACE PAINT & 221 LUXE SOFT CREASE BRUSH
After reading so many positive reviews on Zoeva brushes, I've decided to grab two brushes to try them out. I bought 109 contour brush for 12,99 € and 221 crease brush for 7,99 € at the Douglas store. I fell in love with these two brushes the first second I've tried them out. They are one of the best brushes indeed. Bristles are extremely soft, they pick up the product very well. Amazing quality for such a low price, I recommend them to everyone who is looking for good brushes for a decent price.

BATISTE DRY SHAMPOO
I really like the scent, it's a gentle cherry scent, but you can still smell it. With the dry shampoo from Aussie it's a totally different story. I almost choke every single time I used it, it has such a strong scent. It smells nice, but too strong for my taste. It left white residue on my hair, so if you have dark hair, you have to be careful so that you don't put too much product on your hair. It gives a bit more volume to my hair and they weren't greasy anymore. Overall I'm very satisfied with it, but I wish I bought a few more of them, cause they were only 3.99€ each in Douglas.

ANNY - 469 PROJECT FAME & 151 THE NEW COPPER
On the left is Project fame and on the right is The new copper.
Anny brand has so many amazing shades to choose from, so you must know how hard it has been to choose only two nail polishes. I've set myself a limit for only two nail polishes since the price is kinda hefty. I have bought The new copper and Project fame and already tried out nail polish The new cooper. It's such a beautiful color, perfect for autumn. And I like everything about this nail polish. The bottle itself is nice and kinda special. It has a nice thin brush, but not too thin. I don't like the big wide brushes, like the Essence nail polishes has. But that's just my personal preference. And the staying power sounds promising, since it lasted longer on my naild than any other nail polish that I own. It was only one day longer, but that's a lot for me, since they all tend to chip after one good day because of my weak nails. For Project fame I doubt that it will stay on my nails as long, since it is a satin finish. I got them at Douglas for 9.99€.

LEE STAFFORD HAIR GROWTH TREATMENT
This is actually a repurchase since I want to grow back my hair longer. I used this hair mask 2 or 3 years ago, when I had long hair. This product halped my hair so much, they didn't break, they were smooth and looked way better after using this. For me it did exactly what it's supposed to do, my hair grew faster and I wasn't stuck at one specific lenght of my hair. This product is holy grail to me, I would be very disappointed if they discontinue Lee Staffords line in the DM store, since they stopped selling his products in the Müller store last year and I think Tuš drogerija is discontinuing it too, 'cause I got this mask for around 7 € and that's like half the prize.

NIVEA MEN AFTER SHAVE BALM SENSITIVE

There was a certain hype about this product a while ago in the beauty world. So when I saw it in the drugstore, I thought what if I tried it? I have nothing to lose, if it doesn't work as a primer then I'll use it as an after shave balm. I've tried it out and now I just can't live without it. It just works amazingly as a primer. I won't go into details at this point, because this product deserves a proper review. So if you're looking for a good primer that happens to be cheap, try it out, especially if you have dry or normal skin.
You can get it in the drugstore, I've seen it in Tuš drogerija and Müller. For the DM store I'm not sure, since I haven't noticed it there, but they might be selling it. It costs around 7 €.

ESSENCE ALL ABOUT BRONZE

First row from left to right.

Second row from left to right.
I bought this palette to try it out for myself, since some say that Essence palettes are very good for it's price and then other say they're bad. Palette consists of 8 shimmery colors. They feel soft and when I swatched them the colors were pigmented quite good, except for two lightest colors. You can get it in every drugstore for around 4 €.

ARTDECO HIGH PERFORMANCE EYESHADOW STYLO 28
This is the product that blew my mind and I'm definitely planning on buying it in other shades as well. It's a goldish shimmery shade, that's perfect for inner corners of the eyes. Texture is creamy and in a few seconds it becomes non-smudgy, so you have to work very fast with it. It's also waterproof. It's more on the pricy side, since it costs around 10€, but I think it's totally worth the money. You can get it in Müller.

ARTDECO EYESHADOW IN SHADE 297
Since the eyeshadows from Artdeco are hit or a total miss, I didn't know what to expect from this one, since I got it as a gift from a friend. I have to say that I'm not a fan of any kind of pink color, but I really like this one. Since it reflects at certain angle more goldish than pink. I didn't tried it on my eyes yet, but I like how it swatches, it feels soft and the pigmentation is good. You can get it in Müller, they cost around 5.

CATRICE VELVET MATT EYESHADOW 040 AL BURGUNDY

This eyeshadow is a hit and miss for me. When I swatched it in the store it had intense pigmentation and the color was stunning. But when I tried it on my crease this beautiful burgundy turned into brown when I blended it out. So this is a big con for me, since I bought the eyeshadow because of the color. On the touch they feel soft and what surprised me was the staying power. It lasted on my eyelids a whole work day with a primer. This range is actually getting discontinued at the drugstores however.

Foundation wishlist

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

1. ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR STAY IN PLACE MAKEUP

This foundation is on my wishlist for so long, but unfortunately it's out of my budget right now. If I went to the store where they have it more often I'd probably already have it though. Altho I'm planning to buy it in the near future, probably for my birthday. It would be a perfect birthday present for me from me.

2. L'OREAL INFALLIBLE PRO-MATTE 24HR FOUNDATION

I've read and heard so many good reviews about this foundation that I must have it. After owning and liking the original Infallible, I don't think I'll be dissapointed with this one. The only concern I have is if they have shade that will actually suit my skin.

 3. MAYBELLINE FIT ME FOUNDATION (MATTE + PORELESS)

After trying the original 'Fit me!' foundation, I really wanna try this one out as well. I've tried out the version that has a pump, but I don't know for sure if that was the first one. And they replaced it in the USA with devy + smooth, but in Austria they didn't change it with the new one. And in Slovenia none of the drugstores sell any 'Fit me!' foundations at all.

4. REVLON COLORSTAY (COMBINATION/OILY SKIN)

I want these so badly, even though it doesn't have a pump. There is so many good reviews on the internet about this foundation, that I must try it out.

5. L'OREAL TRUE MATCH LUMI CUSHION

After seeing few reviews for this product on Youtube, I fell totally in love with this foundation. The finish looks amazing and the coverage is good. But I think this won't be availible in Slovenian drugstores.

Freedom Pro 12 Le Fabuleux review

12:31:00

Hello.

Today i'm going to review the Freedom eyeshadow palette that I have recently bought and mentioned in my previous post 'November Haul'. At first I wanted to write a little bit more about the palette in haul post, but I just fell in love with it the second I swatched it and decided to review it immediately.

So let's start with the palettes packaging. There is nothing really special about it, it just has a classic black cover with a see through lid, but the plastic is pretty decent quality. The palette comes with a two sided sponge applicator, but I'll never really use it. The only flaw this palette has, in my opinion is that it doesn't have a mirror inside the packaging. It's a little disappointing, but defenitely not a deal braker.

Okay, that's it about the packaging, lets move onto the actual eyeshadows. The Le Fabuleux palette consists of 12 eyeshadows. 3 eyeshadows are matte, one is matte with a touch of glitter, other one with satin finish and 7 are shimmer eyeshadows.

Eyeshadows don't come with a name so I'm going to swatch them, starting with the upper, first row, left to right. All eyeshadows are swatched without a primer.

First row: first one is matte, others are shimmery.

Second row: first shade has satin finish, others are shimmery (My favourite from the palette is cooper shimmer, oh I just love that shade)

Third row: first shade is shimmery, second and third are matte and the last one is matte with a touch of glitter.

In general the quality of eyeshadows is good. They are buttery and soft, they blend easily. I didn't notice any fall out of pigments during the application, which is great, because I really hate having small glitters on my cheeks at the end of my routine. The color payoff is good, it's definitely better with matte. Applications durability is way better with matte eyeshadows, they will last the whole day. While the shimmery ones fade throughout the day. I used them with a primer (I always have to use primer, because I have slightly oily lids and hooded eyes) so I can't tell you how they'll work without a primer.

Here's something I created with those eyeshadows.
I got mine Freedom Pro 12 Le Fabuleux palette from www.licila.si for 5,95 €.

Love, Andrea
